Kuroshitsuji: Devil's Fruit by Atomic-Clover Kuroshitsuji: Devil's Fruit by Atomic-Clover

omfg i freaking love Black Butler :iconiseriouscameplz:

I first heard about the series two years ago, but i had just finished Loveless and really didnt like it, and so I thought Black Butler was just gonna be a repeat of the same creepy-pedo-dude-with-no personalityxlittle-kid complex and so i was so not interested. BUT HOMG IT'S SO NOT. two weeks ago on a crappy wednesday night during midterms week I was stressed out and frazzled brain-ded, and i stumbled upon a hilarious deviation by :iconmadeleine-elizabeth: and was like, FFFFFF IM GONNA GO ROT MY BRAIN AND WATCH THIS SHOW IF IT CAN MAKE ME LOL LIKE THIS AND I DONT EVEN KNOW THESE CHARACTERS

four days later I had devoured both seasons and the entire manga; I am so obsessed right now it's retarded. LOLfuckiloveitsomuch

So hi kuroshitsuji fandom! 8DDD I'm new here, which is such a surprisingly weird feeling for me xD;;; I hope to not be an embarrassment to y'all~! xD <3

Ciel and Sebastian are surprisingly hard to draw; i thought i had enough pedo-practice with axel and roxas, but noooooo :iconnotimpressedplz:

I will suspend the fact that I don't generally care for hardcore manga style when writing this, and I also don't care for overly feminine men.

Putting that aside, the coloring is of course very nicely done. My only complaint is that the background is a bit texture-heavy which is sort of distracting from the details of the character.

My biggest and largest complaint in this entire picture is actually the hand, which is so massive I can only assume he is being fed a raspberry from a very well dressed Andre the Giant.

That being said, I feel the most positive thing is your attention to details, such as the patterns on his clothes and the flowers and stripes and what not.

All in all, a well-composed piece for anyone who likes the shojo-manga style of art with a good use of color and traditional medium.

Your attention to detail on this work is impeccable. I usually don't like to write critiques because really, who am I to judge someone else's (far superior) artwork? However, I just had to comment on this when I saw the finished product.

Everything in this picture fits so well together that I didn't realize the background was scrapbooking paper until I read the tutorial. The skin is lovely and glows so beautifully. This definately proves that prismacolor markers can be as good (or better depending on the technique) as copics.

My favorite part has to be the dripping fruit. It's wonderfully textured and to me looks like I could take a bite out of it and eat it. This piece is a wonderful example of the best traditional art. If I had to say one area to imrove i might suggest that you add some shine to the leaves on the fruit. Because even leaves have their own shine, it's just dulled out. Over all, fantastic!
