Here is my contest entry for the Kick Your Own @ss contest
Submitted for category 3, as the pieces are done traditionally c:

They're of my characters Hiri (the blond one) and Parin; they are OCs from the first short comic i've ever made, so they're very near and dear to my heart ^^

wow, you really dont know how much you've improved until you put an old and a new next to each other, it boggles my mind :iconwthplz:

so what have i improved on? -snort- other, than, like, everything it looks like...
my anatomy has greatly improved, i try for more dramatic poses, or poses with more movement, which was fun to do with a picture with two characters just sitting, it was fun to still try to put motion in the picture.
My colouring skills have gotten WAY better, i have a better sense of colour balance and unity, my fear of backgrounds has gone away, and i think the newer one has a more interesting composition.
uhg. wow. staring at that old thing really hurts my eyes xD

i'm so happy this contest exists, this was such a cool and encouraging excercize, it really lets the artist know what they've improved on over the years, and it's really fun xD

Wow, you are soo good! And the inprovement is really great. You haven't thought about redraw the whole comic? If the story doesn't suck really bad that is XD
But, the characters are really intresting and it would be fun to see more of them :3

Though I find old picture's that one draw when one is younger and more unexperienced is really charming *w*
You draw such wonderfull backrounds all the time and the colours are just... wow ! :D
I really, really like this :)
The old one just as much as the new one :D !
